Please be advised that -followins-ourymeetln9-with George Wintz and Arnie bos1. s
of Wintz Truck Leasing to discuss our continued involvement with the Golf
Course I must report that we cannot continue the relationship under their
demands.
They requested that the fees be adequate to Pay their entire tax bill as
we 1 as maintain the course. Having determined that that amount could be
a.s high as $90,000.00 would mean that the fees would have to more than
double to cover their demand at which the membership should expect to see
some improvement in the course with that large an increase.
There was no further opportunity to discuss the issue with them as time
was needed to review their 'demands and the impact they would have on our
operation so the meeting was suspended after little discussion. When
contacted further to advise that the City could not .justify participation
if the demands were left as stated George Wentz said fine, we will operate
the course ourselves. We made all the information we Possessed available
to them. They have since Picked up the information and advised as to what
we could tell inquirers would be happening over the next couple of weeks as
they Prepare to offer memberships to their facility.
They are aware that they will be required to Purchase the John Deere
Tractor that was acquired in 1986 or surrender it to the City.
I feel they have every intention of operating the course to their benefit.
Even with that attitude we should be able to enjoy the benefit of this
ver•r nice facility within the City of Rosemount.
