Open Nouse Arrangements
Staff has
put a preliminary agenda together for our open house ceremony.
ti The preliminary agenda for that day is attached. We have done the
following:
(1)
Ordered invitations. We will, based upon lists assembled, be
sending out about 400 invitations:
(2)
Arranged for the VFW and Navy personnel to handle the flag
raising ceremony.
(3)
Arranged for the third graders from St. Joseph's schoolto sing
a special song about "community" at the ceremony and sing
additional songs during the refreshment period afterward.
(4)
Arranged for the Rosemount Nigh School Madrigals to sing during
the refreshment period.
(5)
Asked Daryl Wegscheid, Dennis Ozment, Steve Loeding and Jerry
Stelzel, as Chamber president, to say just a few words as
special guests.
(6)
Requested, and have been told we may be able to have Senator
Dave Durenberger speak. We ;will know for sure in about two
weeks.
(7)
Arranged to have Pastor Ed Smith, of the Baptist Church, give
the invocation.
(8)
Arranged to have the deli cater the refreshments and snacks
after the ceremony. Milt Bruflodt has indicated he will get
enough donations from contractors involved in the project to
provide all the food and snacks at no cost to us.
Invitations will be going out in a couple of weeks as well as the
special
flyer from Parks and Rec which will have information relating to
city hall
and the open house on it.
We are
all looking forward to the 3rd of May, and we know it will be a
"perfect"
spring day for us to show off.
