I am addressing each item briefly for Council's information. Accept Feasiblily Report/Set Public Hearing - Broback Industrial Park Street Improvements At the March 3, 1987 City Council meeting, Council accepted a petition from property owners within the Broback Industrial Park Addition and authorized preparation of a feasibility report regarding the feasibility of constructing street improvements for this subdivision. With the completion of the feasibility report, Staff recommends that Council accept the feasibility report and set a public hearing on May 5, 1987 to consider the street improvements. Accept Plans and Specs/Authorize Ad for Bid - Erickson Park Irrigation The 1987 CIP provided for the irrigation for softball fields 4 and 5 and also the soccer field. I would recommend that Council approve the plans and specifications for City Contract 1987-03, Project 173 and authorize the advertisement for a bid opening at 2:00 p.m. on April 30, 1987 for the Erickson Park Irrigation System. Accept Petitions/Set Public Hearing for Easement Vacation - Rosemount Hills Third Addition The owner of Lot 4, Block 3 of the Rosemount Hills 3rd Addition is petitioning to vacate an existing 50 foot drainage easement which meanders through this lot and approximately bisects it. The owner has provided a description for new drainage easements along the west line of this lot so as to allow more buildable area on this lot. I will review this petition and have recommendations and comments at the Public Hearing. I would recommend that Council accept this petition and set a public hearing for the easement vaction on Lot 4, Block 3 Rosemount Hills 3rd Addition on May 5, 1987. Set Public Hearing for Shannon Park Townhouse Utility Improvements Staff had originally planned on financing the utility instalation for Shannon Park Townhouses (approximately $40,000) out of general funding. However, in retrospect, we decided it would be better to include this amount in a future bond sale. Therefore, in order to satisfy the bonding company, we must hold a public hearing for these utility improvements even though 100% of the affected propery owner petitioned for these improvements. I would recommend holding this public hearing for the Shannon Park Utility 40FILD TO CUUIVtlL Improvements, City contract 1987-02, City project 174 on May 5, 1987. APR 0 3 1987 w
