7d. Approve Plans _& Specs/Authorize Advertisement for Bids O'Leary's Hills
3rd Addition
Acting on a petition from the developer of the O'Leary's Hills 3rd
Addition Council ordered a feasibility report and held a public hearing
for the improvements of the O'Leary's Hills 3rd Addition. The Public
Hearing was held on June 16, 1987 and the Council ordered the Project
in at that time.
Our Consulting Engineers have completed the plans & specifications for
this project. All necessary easements will be dedicated on the final
plat and there should be no other issues to address which would prevent
the City from awarding the contract for this project. Also, I have
reviewed the plans & specifications and found them to be in compliance
with City standards.
I would recommend that Council approve the plans & specifications and
authorize a bid opening to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14,
1987 for the O'Leary's Hills 3rd Addition Utility & Street
Improvements.

RESOLUTION 1987 -
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
FOR STREET AND UTILITY CONSTRUCTION FOR
O'LEARY'S HILLS THIRD ADDITION
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Rosemount City Council on the
16th day of June, 1987, the City Engineer did prepare plans and specifications
for the construction of street and utility improvements to the area know as
O'Leary's Hills Third Addition and has presented these plans and specifications
to the Rosemount City Council for approval.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount
hereby approves the Engineer's final plans and specifications for street and
utility construction on O'Leary's Hills Third Addition; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby
authorizes the City Administrator/Clerk to prepare and cause to be inserted in
the official City newspaper and advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published as required in Minnesota Statutes 429 and shall specify the
work to be completed and shall state the time and place of the opening of these
bids and the time and place that the City Council will consider these bids.
No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City
Administrator/Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond
or certified check payable to the City of Rosemount in the amount if five (5%)
percent of the bid submitted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said plans and specifications be placed on file in
the office of the City Administrator/Clerk.
