Approve "No Parking" Resolution for Shannon Parkway This is a requirement that the State Aid Division of MnDOT is requesting in order for them to approve the Shannon Parkway Street Improvement Plans. I would recommend that Council approve this resolution because we do not plan for or desire any parking along Shannon Parkway so that we may maintain the integrity of it as a community collectors street. Attached is a copy of a resolution for Council approval. CITY OF ROSEMOUNT RESOLUTION 1987 - A RESOLUTION RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON S.A.P. 208-106-02 (SHANNON PARKWAY) FROM 160TH STREET WEST TO 145TH STREET WEST IN THE CITY OF ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA I WHEREAS, the City of Rosemount has planned the improvement of MSAS 106 (Shannon Parkway) from 160th Street West to 145th Street West, and II WHEREAS, the City of Rosemount will be expending Municipal State Aid Funds on the improvement of this Street, and j WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate width for parking on both sides of the street, approval of the proposed construction as a Municipal State Aid Street project must therefore be conditioned upon i certain parking restrictions, and I WHEREAS, the extent of the restrictions, that would be a necessary prerequisite to the approval of this construction as a Municipal State Aid project in the "City", have been determined by the City of Rosemount. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Rosemount shall ban the I parking of motor vehicles on the east and west sides of MSAS 106�(Shannon Parkway) at all times: i Adopted this 18th day of August, 1987.
