5h. Approve Change Order #1 to Contract 1987-2, Shannon Park 1st Addition
Attached is Change Order #1 to the Shannon Park lst Addition project
consisting of an addition of $9,381.60. The extra work consisted of
adding some valves which were necessary to insure that we can isolate
the system. In addition, the Developer requested to include the water
service connections which were not originally included and were the -
Developers responsibility. Also, because of some minor grade changes
we had to reconstruct some manholes. Finally, we had to restore the
bike trail because the contract anticipated the Developer had to use a
temporary access onto 145th Street until Shannon Parkway was
constructed. Now that Shannon Parkway will be under construction this
fall, the Developer will not have to construct a paved entrance and
therefore the reason for the bike trail repair.
With the exception of the oversizing cost of the additional valves, the
remaining cost are the responsibility of the Developer and we will
propose to assess them accordingly.
