RE: BIRCHVIEW TERRACE STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT RECOMMENDATION
As a point of information to Council, I would recommend contacting the people who
petitioned regarding the feasibility study to pave the road within the Birchview
Terrace 2nd Addition, that being Upper 135th Street, Danville Avenue, and 136th
Street West, to inform them that we are not proceeding any further with a
feasibility study until utilities are made available to their property. With the
Thompson development moving this appears to be within the next couple of years.
I feel it would be a waste of money to pave the streets and then install sanitary
sewer and water within the next few years.
I have instructed our consultant to cease all work on this project.
