Accept Petition / Set Hearing Date - Methodist Church Easement VacationDATE: OCTOBER 15, 1987 TO: MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL c/o STEVE JILK, CITY ADMINISTRATOR FROM: RICH HEFTI RE: ITEMS FOR OCTOBER 209 1987 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING NEW BUSINESS Receive Petition to Vacate Existing Drainage Easement on Rosemount United Methodist Church property I have received a petition from the Rosemount United Methodist Church, copy of which is attached, requesting to vacate the drainage easement on the south side of their property that is adjacent to the north boundary of Camfield Park. The petition is valid since only the City and the Church are the property owners being effected by this request for easement vacation. Before setting a public hearing date to consider this vacation, I would like to have some time for Staff to review this request in some more detail and try to find the easement description in question. Therefore, I would recommend that Council act only to receive the petition to vacate existing drainage easement on the Rosemount United Methodist Church property and I will come back to the Council at a later date to propose a public hearing date if Staff finds it would be in everyone's best interest to vacate this easement.
