ATTACHMENTS: None APPROVED BY: LJM RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve the Labor Agreement for the AFSCME, Local No. 3857 Collective Bargaining Unit for the Years 2018 through 2019 and to Authorize the Necessary Signatures. ISSUE The City of Rosemount and AFSCME, Local No. 3857 have negotiated in good-faith and have come to a tentative agreement. BACKGROUND Negotiations with the AFSCME union have been completed for a 2018 through 2019 contract. The Collective Bargaining Unit and City have reached a tentative agreement on the following items: Wages in the 2 Year Contract (2018 & 2019) 2.75% increase on January 1, 2018 2.75% increase on January 1, 2019 VEBA/HSA Contribution Increase Contribution: VEBA/HSA Contribution. The Employer shall contribute $530.00 $585.00 into the employee’s VEBA/HSA account in January of each year of the contract. Employees hired after January 31 will receive a prorated amount. This contribution shall cease at the time that the City no longer participates in the VEBA #830 Plan or HSA plan. The City’s contribution to VEBA/HSA accounts hasn’t increased since 2006. SUMMARY The AFSCME members have voted and approved these contract changes. Therefore, it is requested that Council approve the labor agreement for the AFSCME, Local No. 3857 Collective Bargaining Unit for the years 2018 through 2019 and to authorize the necessary signatures.
