ISSUE
The 2017 service agreement with RAAC (Rosemount Area Arts Council) is coming to an end and it was
asked that this topic be placed on a work session agenda for discussion. The City has had annual service
agreements with RAAC since 2012.
As with past service agreements with RAAC, the agreement outlines the variety of arts and cultural
programs and activities offered to the public by RAAC. In return for their programming and event
planning efforts, RAAC receives rent-free use of City facilities based on City policies for RAAC sponsored
activities, as outlined in the service agreement. The service agreement also includes language that allows
RAAC space in the Parks and Recreation Department activities brochures.
A majority of the facility space that RAAC uses is at the Steeple Center and Central Park.
Staff is looking for direction on the development of a 2018 Service Agreement with RAAC.
