Park Improvement Fund Balance as of December 31, 2017: $494,050.84
Inflows to the Park Impxovement Fund la.st month were as follows:
Dedication fees—$6,800

Expenditures - $5,970.44 (Horseshoe Lake Paxk design)
Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association(MRPA)—Lacelle Cordes,Recreation Supervisor,was
xecendy elected to the volunteer board of directors for the MRPA. She will be serving a two year term.
RAHA Donation-The Rosemount Area Hockey Association Boosters, along with the Rosemount Ice
Arena,held the first ever Skate with Santa on Sunday, December 10.There was a goodwill fee of$5.00 per
family with all proceeds going to the Rosemount Family Resource Center. On Monday,December 18th,
Santa and sta.ff were able to present a check for$268 from the Rosemount Area Hockey Association
boosters to the Rosemount Faxnily Resource Center.
Book Club -The Steeple Center Book Club kicked off on Friday,December 15 with a meeting to select
book tides for the upcoming year. 'This program is a partnership between Parks &Recreation and the
Robert Trail Library,with one of the librarians on sta.ff volunteering to facilita,te the book discussions.
Moving into 2018,the group will meet the third Friday of every month at the Steeple CenteY.
Carroll's Woods Natural Resource Management Plan—The updates to the management plan axe
nearly complete and will be presented to the Commission at our meeting in February. Staff is planning for
contractors to start this fall with the work of cleaxing invasive species.
