RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to receive and spend donation from Wastequip to
purchase six cancer fighting Nomex firefighting hoods
SUMMARY
The Council is asked to approve this donation from Wastequip in the amount of $600.00, as well as
approve the expenditure to purchase six cancer fighting Nomex firefighting hoods. These particular
hoods are new to the industry and are worn into fires by firefighters to protect their head and neck areas
from the dangers associated with burning products in fires.
