RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Ordering the 2018 Street
Improvements Project, City Project 2018-01.
ISSUE
Hold the Improvement Public Hearing and consider ordering the 2018 Street Improvements Project.
The estimated total project cost is $1,491,182.99, which includes construction cost, engineering, finance,
and administration.
BACKGROUND
On February 5, 2018, the Rosemount City Council received the Feasibility Report and authorized Plans
and Specifications for the 2018 Street Improvements Project, City Project 2018-01. Staff will present a
brief overview of the project and respond to questions that Council members or the public may have
regarding the proposed improvements.
A summary of the proposed improvements and estimated project cost and funding is provided below.
Proposed Improvements
The 2018 Street Improvement Project includes mill and overlay of streets south of CSAH 42, between
Diamond Path and Shannon Parkway. The attached map illustrates the proposed streets.
Schedule
It is proposed bids will be opened April 19, 2018, the Assessment Public Hearing will be held May 15,
2018. Construction should begin in June 2018 and is anticipated to be completed, including all restoration
items, by August 2018.
Public Informational Meeting
Prior to the public hearing, staff hosted a public informational meeting for property owners on January 30,
2018 to address questions and comments regarding the project and proposed assessments.

CITY PROJECT 2018-01
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and accepted the Feasibility Report on February 5, 2018 for
City Project 2018-01, and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a Public Hearing on March 6, 2018.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby orders
the improvements of the 2018 Street Improvements Project, City Project 2018-01.
ADOPTED this 6th day of March, 2018.
