It also includes 158th Court, 159th Court, and short sections of 158th Street West and Dakota Drive near the southwestern city border. The improvement hearing has been held and plans and specifications are being prepared by TKDA. Construction will begin in June 2018. 2018-03Bonaire Path / QuietZone2019The consulting contract for engineering services was awarded to Bolton & Menk on Feb 20, 2018. This project will upgrade Bonaire Path east of Akron Avenue to an urban paved section, with proposed improvements to the railroad crossing that will bring the crossing into compliance with the quiet zone requirements.2018-04Well 1 & Well 2 SealingSummer 2018This project is needed to properly seal Wells 1 & 2 in downtown Rosemount. These abandoned wells are assumed to be somewhere in the parking lots of Shenanigan's and/or the former Terry's Hardware site. An MDH grant of $50,000 will be used to help offset the estimated cost of $143,970 for this project. The city is currently working with the MDH to locate and investigate. The project is going through the preliminary plat review and approval process at this time. 2018-09Connemara Trail Extension2019The city desires to complete the extension of Connemara Trail, from its current terminus at the intersection with Akron Avenue (CASH 73). The extension of Connemara Trail, approximately 1/4 mile, will traverse through Outlot K of the Prestwick Place development, which is east of and adjacent to Akron Avenue. WSB & Associates is the consultant for the project. Design will take place in 2018, construction will take place in 2019. 2018-10 Greystone 7th 04/17/18 N/A 05/15/18 06/08/18 06/19/18 07/09/18N/AThis development includes 46 single-family homes by developer CalAtlantic Homes (formerly Ryland Homes). This will be a publicly-bid city project with assessments to the individual lots, similar to Greystone 6th.
