RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Authorizing Plans and
Specifications, Receiving Plans and Specifications, and Authorizing the Advertisement for
Bids for the Addison Avenue Improvement Project, City Project 2018-06.
BACKGROUND
City Project 2018-06 – Addison Avenue Improvement Project includes the extension of streets and
utilities approximately 700 feet to the southeast from 141st St E. The Dakota County CDA townhouse
development will be adjacent to the proposed Addison Avenue.
Advertisements for bid will appear in the Dakota Tribune and Finance & Commerce on March 29, 2018.
Bids will be opened on April 20, 2018.
The action to Receive Bids / Award Contract will be at the May 1, 2018 City Council meeting.
Construction is proposed to begin in May 2018 and is anticipated to be completed, including all restoration
items, by August 2018.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Council authorize plans and specifications, receive plans and specifications, and
authorize the advertising for bids for the Addison Avenue Improvement Project, City Project 2018-06.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF THE PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE ADDISON AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 2018-06
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount deems it necessary to complete the
Addison Avenue Improvement Project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount orders
the preparation of plans and specifications for said improvements of City Project 2018-06.
ADOPTED this 20th day of March, 2018.

RESOLUTION 2018 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
ADDISON AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 2018-06
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount has ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the Addison Avenue Improvement Project, City Project 2018-06, and such plans
and specifications have been presented to this Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of
the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Finance and Commerce an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications for City Project 2018-06.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than
three (3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, specifying the work to be done, stating
the bids will be publicly opened on April 20, 2018 at 10:00 o’clock a.m. at the Rosemount
City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond or certified check payable to the
City Clerk for five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid.
4. Such advertisement for bids is hereby authorized by the Council.
