RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Receiving Plans and
Specifications and Authorizing the Advertisement for Bids for the 2018 Street Improvement
Project, City Project 2018-01.
BACKGROUND
On February 5, 2018, City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the 2018
Street Improvement Project, City Project 2018-01.
The 2018 Street Improvement Project includes:
December Trail between Diamond Path Road and Shannon Parkway
December Court between December Trail and the cul-de-sac
Dartmoor Court between December Trail and the cul-de-sac
Daybreak Avenue between December Trail and 152nd Street W
Danville Avenue between December Trail and 153rd Street W
Dewberry Court between 152nd Street W and the cul-de-sac
Darjeeling Court between 152nd Street W and the cul-de-sac
151st Street W between Danbury Avenue and Shannon Parkway
152nd Court W between Danbury Avenue and the cul-de-sac
152nd Street W between Diamond Path Road and Darjeeling Path
153rd Street W between Darjeeling Path and Shannon Parkway
154th Court W between Danbury Avenue and the cul-de-sac
Darjeeling Path between 152nd Street W and 155th Street W
Danville Avenue between Darjeeling Path and 155th Street W
155th Court W between 155th Street W and the cul-de-sac
155th Street W between Diamond Path Road and Danbury Avenue
Danbury Avenue between 151st Street W and 156th Street W

Advertisements for bid will appear in the Dakota Tribune and Finance & Commerce on March 29, 2018.
Bids will be opened on April 19, 2018.
The action to Declare Costs/Order Preparation of Assessments / Order Assessment Hearing will be at
the April 17, 2018 City Council meeting. The action to Hold the Assessment Hearings / Adopt
Assessment Roll / Award Contract will be at the May 15, 2018 City Council meeting.
Construction is proposed to begin in mid-June 2018 and is anticipated to be completed, including all
restoration items, in the fall of 2018.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Council receive the plans and specifications and authorize the advertising for bids for
the 2018 Street Improvement Project, City Project 2018-01.

RESOLUTION 2018 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
2018 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 2018-01
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount has ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the 2018 Street Improvement Project, City Project 2018-01, and such plans and
specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of
the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Finance and Commerce an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications for City Project 2018-01.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than
three (3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, specifying the work to be done, stating
the bids will be publicly opened on April 19, 2018 at 10:00 o’clock a.m. at the Rosemount
City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond or certified check payable to the
City Clerk for five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid.
4. Such advertisement for bids is hereby authorized by the Council.
