Parks and Recreation Commission Special Meeting: April 23, 2018
Park Improvement Fund Balance as of March 31, 2018: $5509529.98
Inflows to the Park Improvement Fund last month were as follows:
Dedication fees — $65800
Grants/Other - $0
Interest - $164.76
Donations - $0
Expenditures - $11,424.26 (Greystone Park Development and UMore Dugouts*)
*Has been reimbursed from DCTC
Egg Hunt - The Annual Rosemount Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt brought in 410 lbs. of food donations
for the Family Resource Center.
Skate with a Leprechaun - Thank you to everyone who came out for the first ever Skate with a
Leprechaun event on Sunday, March 18th at the Rosemount Ice Arena. Our resident Leprechaun delivered
a check from the Rosemount Youth Hockey Boosters to the Rosemount Family Resource Center for
$200.00 from the event.
Garden Plots - We were taking registrations for Garden Plots up until March 31. The lottery was
conducted and plots were assigned to as many applicants as we can accommodate. We still have a few
plots left.
Health Fair - Rosemount Parks and Recreation will be participating in the annual Red Pine Elementary
School Health and Fitness Fair on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm. This fair has been
recognized as a premier event in supporting health, fitness and wellness for families and children. As a
vendor we will be sharing information on all of our exciting summer camps and activities along with our
free park program "Kids Corner". The free music and movies in the park schedule will be available, along
with our free Leprechaun Days activities for kids.
