RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Receiving the Plans and
Specifications, and Authorize Advertisement for Bids for the Greystone 7th Addition Street
and Utility Improvements, City Project 2018-10
BACKGROUND
On April 17, 2018, City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the Greystone
7th Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 2018-10.
The Greystone 7th Addition is a development of 46 single family homes located east of Akron Avenue and
the existing Greystone neighborhood. The project will be funded by the developer, Lennar (formerly
CalAtlantic Group), through a combination of cash payment for city fees and assessments for the
construction costs and trunk fees.
Advertisements for bid will appear in the Rosemount Town Pages and Finance & Commerce on June 14,
2018 and June 21, 2018. Bids will be opened on July 9, 2018. Construction is proposed to begin in July
2018 and is anticipated to be completed in October 2018.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Council receive the plans and specifications and authorize the advertisement for bids
for the Greystone 7th Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 2018-10.

RESOLUTION 2018 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS FOR
GREYSTONE 7th ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 2018-10
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount has ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the Greystone 7th Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 2018-10, and
such plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the Finance
and Commerce, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such
approved plans and specifications for City Project 2018-10.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than three (3)
weeks before the date set for opening bids, specifying the work to be done, stating the bids will be
publicly opened on July 9, 2018 at 3:00 o’clock p.m. at the Rosemount City Hall in said City, and
that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a
cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5%)
percent of the amount of such bid.
4. Such advertisement for bids is hereby authorized by the Council.
