BACKGROUND
In March of 2018, the Police Department completed an extensive testing process for the role of police
officer to fill a patrol officer vacancy. Officer Drake Malaske was selected to fill the vacancy and started
with the Rosemount Police Department on April 2, 2018.
Officer Malaske grew up in Eagan, MN and graduated from Eastview High School and completed EMS
career development courses at Rosemount High School. He attended Minnesota State University,
Mankato where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in law enforcement; with a minor in aeronautics.
Prior to being hired by the Rosemount Police Department, Officer Malaske worked with the Dakota
County Sheriff’s Office as a Park Ranger.
Officer Malaske has completed his Field Training Program and we are excited to see him succeed as a
Rosemount Police Officer.
