RECOMMENDED ACTION: Formal Swearing in Ceremony of FF’s completing probation;
Recognize Rosemount Fire Explorers
BACKGROUND
The Fire Department would like to have City Council recognize Firefighters that recently came off of
probation and were placed on regular status, and to have the Mayor swear them in officially for duty. We
also ask that City Council recognize the Rosemount Fire Explorers for their first place finish at the State
Fire Explorer Competition that was held at the Minnesota State Fair.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that formally recognize Firefighters Nate Florine, Dylan McCallum, Mike Schimmel and
Kurt Welch, who are coming off probation to assume the regular duties of a Firefighter. We are also
requesting that the City Council recognize the Rosemount Fire Explorers who finished first place at the
State Fire Explorer Competition that was held recently at the Minnesota State Fair.
