HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpectro Alloys Variance Public Notice - Paper Public Notice T O W HOM I T M AY C ONCERN: N OTICE I S H EREBY G IVEN, the Board of Appeals and Adjustments of the City of Rosemount will hold a Public Hearing to consider the item listed below on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 2875 145th Street West, Rosemount, Minnesota, and beginning at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. The Public Hearing pertains to property owned by Spectro Alloys Corporation at 13220 Doyle Path, and legally described as follows: Lot 1, Block 1, SPECTRO ALLOYS ADDITION, Dakota County in the State of Minnesota The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment on the application received from Spectro Alloys Corporation for variances to allow an addition to a principal building to be located within two feet of a side property line, and to also allow the construction of a filter house and related equipment to be located within two feet of the same property line. The Rosemount Zoning Ordinance requires a minimum side yard setback of 50 feet for principal and accessory structures; therefore, the applicant is requesting a variance to reduce this setback by 48 feet. Persons wishing to speak on this issue are invited to attend and be heard at this scheduled public hearing. Formal written comments will also be accepted prior to the meeting dates. The Public Hearing pertains to property owned by Ellen Leidner and Keith Bester at 12006 Bacardi Avenue, and legally described as follows: The following described tracts, pieces or parcels of land situate, lying and being in the County of Dakota and State of Minnesota, to-wit: A tract of land in Government Lot One (1) in Section Nine (9) and the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter (NW ¼ of NE ¼) of Section Sixteen (16), Township One hundred fifteen (115), Range Nineteen (19) Dakota County, Minn., described as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of Government Lot One (1) and running thence south along the west line thereof and the west line of said Northwest quarter of Northeast quart (NW ¼ of NE ¼) a distance of 330 feet; thence East and parallel to the North line of said Section Nine (9) a distance of 660 feet; thence north and parallel to said west line a distance of 330 feet; thence west along said north line to the point of beginning, according to the Government Sur vey thereof.
