We continue to work on scheduling business visits. There were two visits since the last meeting, at Crown

feels location is successful as they provide services
not found at every anytime fitness, emphasis on
service and they track members attendance to
suggest services that might be of interest, they
have marketed the open space but careful about
potential tenant due to parking and potential
overlap in services, they are involved in city and
asked to be added to business email list

contact for Dan Schultz, lot of traffic along 145th
street, looking forward to ribbon cutting-opening
Crown Rental Doug Haas Business is very good for Crown, which is a direct
result of the strength of the national economy
(deck project, fences etc) They have locations in
Burnsville and Apple Valley, and this facility
focuses more on residential rentals. They do not
envision Sunbelt as a direct competitor, as Sunbelt
focuses mostly on large rentals (15 lifts at a time),
so they compliment each other well. The City has
been a good partner and he shared no issues with
our services. Shared info on Open to Business
program, PIE, and the Expo. No follow up items
needed.

Met with Brian Turner, John Ikhami, and Marcel
Allen regarding the Proto Labs Rosemount facility.
They indicated that they do mold injection here in
Rosemount and they are very busy and the
business continues to grow. The Company has
purchased other companies in the Country and
they provide more services than before. They
indicated that it is sometimes hard to attract
employees to the facility and they reviewed their
wage and benefits package. They use employment
firms but also conduct employee attraction
initiatives in house. They draw from a wide area
and transit and lower cost housing in Rosemount
would assist them in helping with attracting
employees. Staff forwarded information regarding
the workforce investment board and mentioned
some of the new more affordable housing in
town.
