ATTACHMENTS: None APPROVED BY: LJM RECOMMENDED ACTION: None BACKGROUND In August 2018, Officer Trefethren retired with the Rosemount Police Department; creating a vacant officer position. The Police Department completed an extensive testing process to fill the vacancy. Officer Jared Gray was selected to fill the vacancy created by Officer Trefethren’s retirement. Officer Jared Gray was hired by Rosemount Police Department this summer and began his field training on July 28th. On Thursday, November 22nd, 2018 Officer Jared Gray successfully completed the Rosemount Police Department’s field training program. Officer Gray grew up in Andover, Minnesota where he went to Andover Senior High School where he enjoyed playing hockey and baseball. He then went on to Minnesota State Mankato where he majored in law enforcement and minored in sociology. After graduating college, Officer Gray was hired by the Martin County Sheriff’s office where he became a part time Sheriff’s Deputy. Officer Gray’s parents (Jenny and Andy Gray) and sister (Danielle Gray) will be in attendance at the meeting. Officer Gray has completed his Field Training Program and we are excited to see him succeed as a Rosemount Police Officer.
