RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the expenditure of funds from the
Rosemount Fire Department donation account to purchase a Hurst Combination Hydraulic
Tool.
SUMMARY
The council is asked to consider the expenditure of $9,845.00 from the donation account for the purchase
of a battery operated Hurst eDraulic Combination Tool Package. The purchase of this tool would outfit
Rosemount Rescue 21 with an extrication tool as this truck currently does not have extrication tools
supplied on it.
The money for this purchase was made possible from a donation by Flint Hills Resources specifically for
the purchase of this combination tool. The donation of $10,000.00 was made to the Fire Department in
October of 2018. Quotes and research of the tool was obtained by Flint Hills Fire staff to purchase this
tool and they worked closely with Chief Schroeder and Assistant Chief Voelker to define this purchase.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends a motion to approve this purchase so the order can be placed before the end of the
year.
