RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve Change Order #1 for the Horseshoe Lake
Park project.
ISSUE
The Horseshoe Lake Park project is nearly complete. The site has been graded, trails have been installed,
the playground is in, the sun shelter has been constructed, the dock has been placed, and the site has been
landscaped.
As the project has progressed some additional work has been added at the request of the City. The
contractor on the project has submitted a change order for $7,400 to perform the work that includes
adding extra erosion control measures due to significant rains this fall and the addition of wood trim to the
pier.
Due to the highly competitive bids received for this project, funds are available in the project fund to
cover this change order.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve Change Order #1 for the Horseshoe Lake Park project in the
amount of $7,400.
