Program
BACKGROUND
The City was selected for Xcel Energy’s Partners in Energy (PIE) program in 2017, thanks to an initiative
of the Rosemount Environment & Sustainability Task Force (REST). Work has been occurring in earnest
since that time to implement the goals established in the Energy Action Plan, and the team from REST
will be present at the work session to update the Council on the program.
In 2019 the program calls for a significant amount of outreach efforts, so there will be a number of
opportunities to support this work. The team from REST will provide a full breakdown of 2019 initiatives
and will engage the Council in a discussion on ways the City can continue to support the program.
