RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve entering into a professional services
agreement with SRF Consulting Group to provide construction plans and specifications for
the Bella Vista and Dunmore Greenway projects.
ISSUE
In 2018, the City of Rosemount received grant funds from Dakota County to pay for the creation of the
construction plans and documents for two greenway projects. The greenway trail projects are located in
the developing neighborhoods of Bella Vista and Dunmore. The Bella Vista Greenway trail is
approximately 4,000 lineal feet and the Dunmore Greenway is approximately 3,000 lineal feet in length.
The trails have been or will be rough graded by the developer for each project.
The projects will need to meet both City of Rosemount general specifications and Dakota County
Regional Greenway Trail specifications.
Staff sent out a Request for Quotes (RFQ) to three landscape architects firms in our professional services
consulting pool to provide the necessary plans and specifications to put the project out to bid. The prices
we were quoted are listed below:
Landscape Architect Price Quote
SRF Consulting Group $ 24,350
WSB Engineering $ 48,250
Bolten and Menk $ 92,230
Sufficient funds were received from Dakota County to pay for this work.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending that the City Council approve entering into a professional services agreement with
SRF Consulting Group to provide construction plans and specifications for the Bella Vista and Dunmore
Greenway projects.
