BACKGROUND
The Canada Circle property is jointly owned by the City and Port Authority. Over the course of the last
year, both entities have approved the purchase agreement and subsequent amendments. Additionally, by
law, the Port Authority held a public hearing to sell public land.
While the City Council is not required to hold a public hearing, there is a requirement to file a resolution
authorizing the sale at the time of closing on the property. Because the City Council did not approve the
sale by resolution, the Council is now being asked to take action on the attached resolution. Approval does
not change any of the actions documented in the purchase agreement or approved amendments.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve the Resolution.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING SALE OF PROPERTY OWNED
BY THE CITY OF ROSEMOUNT
WHEREAS, the City of Rosemount, Minnesota is the owner of real property legally described as
follows:
Lot 1, Block 1, CANADA CIRCLE, Dakota County, Minnesota (the “Property”)
WHEREAS, on April 17, 2018; July 16, 2018; October 12, 2018; and, January 15, 2019, the
Rosemount City Council approved a Purchase Agreement and related Amendments conveying the
Property to Symnabdre Properties, LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company (“Buyer”); and
WHEREAS, the City and Buyer intend to hold a real estate closing related to the purchase on
March 22, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to further document its prior approval of the conveyance of
the Property to Buyer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Rosemount, Minnesota:
1. The conveyance of the Property to Buyer as set forth in the purchase agreements and
related amendments thereto between the parties is approved.
2. The Mayor, City Clerk, City Attorney, and other city staff, as needed, are authorized to
carry out and complete the transaction and execute required documents.
