BACKGROUND
Based on Council direction received at the annual Goal Setting Session, a section has been added to the
agenda entitled “City Staff Updates”. This will be a recurring agenda item with the purpose of providing
the Department Head team a chance to share some of the main projects / initiatives of note ongoing at
City Hall.
One of the main goals of the Council is increased transparency and sharing of the City’s “story” with the
public, so it is our intent that this addition to the agenda will support that effort. Going forward we will
typically not have a written memo accompanying the verbal update, unless an attachment is necessary.
