SUMMARY
National Volunteer Week is April 7 – 13 and each year the City of Rosemount recognizes and thanks the
hardworking and dedicated volunteers who lend their time and expertise.
Tonight the Council recognizes the many benefits provided by our wonderful volunteers! The council
invites the volunteers to a reception on Thursday, April 11th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Steeple
Center which will include an opportunity to socialize and connect with our volunteers with light appetizers
being provided.
Our volunteers do all sorts of things within the community to shape a better future for Rosemount. We
rely heavily on these individuals and groups to perform many important tasks that City staff cannot
perform on their own. Some of these areas include:
Police Reserves and Chaplains
Rosemount Fire Explorers
Rosemount Area Seniors Board
Leprechaun Days and the Haunted Woods Trail
Rosemount Area Arts Council
Wetlands and Bluebird Box Monitoring and Maintenance
Adopt-a-Park and Adopt-a-Street
Office Support and Document Scanning
Gardening and Landscape Maintenance
Downtown Task Force
Environment and Sustainability Task Force
