RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:
Motion to fill Commission vacancies with the following appointments:
• Michael Eliason reappoint for a 3-year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission;
• Barb Farrell reappoint for a 3-year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission;
• Scott McDonald reappoint for a 3-year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission;
• Michele Rome for a 3-year term on the Utilities Commission;
• Brenda Rivera for a 3-year term on the Planning Commission;
• Kathryn Lundquist for a 3-year term on the Planning Commission;
• John Schmisek for a 3-year term on the Planning Commission;
• Katherine Koch-Laveen reappoint for a 3-year term Environmental & Sustainable Task
Force
• Renee Burman reappoint for a 3-year term Environmental & Sustainable Task Force
• Nathan Marks for a 3 -year term Environmental & Sustainable Task Force
• Ed Nelson for a 3-year term Environmental & Sustainable Task Force
• Dan Wolf to take over former commissioner Bob Smith’s seat until 3/31/2023.
SUMMARY
Each year the City Council appoints commissioners to various city boards. This year, the following
positions were open for appointment; three seats on the Parks and Recreation Commission, one seat on
the Utility Commission, three seats on the Planning Commission, and four seats on Environmental &
Sustainable Task Force.
After performing interviews with all candidates, the Council selected the aforementioned list of candidates
for appointment to the various roles.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of above motion.
