BACKGROUND:
At previous Utility Commission discussions, there have been comments regarding the drinking water

drinking water supply on a regular basis and provide those results to the Minnesota Department of Health.
In addition, the City of Rosemount publishes an annual water quality report which is available on the city’s
website at: https://www.ci.rosemount.mn.us/255/Water-Quality-Report.
In order to provide the Commission with some additional information regarding drinking water, Simon
McCormack, P.E., the former Minnesota Department of Health field engineer for Rosemount, will be
leading an informational presentation and discussion regarding drinking water standards. In particular,
staff has requested Mr. McCormack to address questions regarding radium, chlorides and manganese.
SUMMARY:
This is an information/discussion item for the Commission, no action is required.
