ATTACHMENTS: None APPROVED BY: LJM RECOMMENDED ACTION: Seeking council approval to hire new firefighters BACKGROUND Over the past few months, firefighter applicants Matthew Mahowald and Joe Foster have gone through physical agility testing, completed a written test, participated in an interview process, completed medical testing and completed background packets that were investigated by the Rosemount Police Department. Both Mahowald and Foster have successfully passed each phase of the hiring process and are recommended for hiring as new firefighters. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the hiring of Matthew Mahowald and Joe Foster as probationary firefighters effective April 18, 2019, pending council approval.
