Special Meeting
Members Present: Maureen Bartz, Michael Eliason, David Speich, Lincoln Tilson,
Barb Farrell, Scott McDonald, Craig Nelson,
Bryan Feldhaus, Jacqueline Radosevich and Maisy Armstrong
Members Absent: Jim Young
Staff Present: Dan Schultz, Director of Parks and Recreation
Tom Schuster, Parks Supervisor
Others Present: Neighbors of Winds Park
1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
2. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: None
3. AUDIENCE INPUT: None
4. DISCUSSION: None
5. OLD BUSINESS: None
6. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Review of Playground Equipment for Winds Park — Staff explained how the process works for
bidding out playground equipment. The group was all given a sticker to place on the submittal they
thought was the best. Staff then removed the four proposals with the least votes. We all once again
voted by placing stickers on the final three proposals. The St. Croix proposal got the most votes
with 9 people liking it the best.
Farrell made a MOTION to purchase the equipment from St. Croix Recreation with a SECOND
by Speich Ayes: 9 Nays: 0 Motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT - MOTION by Bartz SECOND by Speich
Ayes: 9 Nays: 0 Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
