In recognition of the commitment of our City government to maintain a safe and effective infrastructure
for a growing community, the City Council is asked to join in the designation of May 19-25 as National
Public Works Week. The national theme of this observance is “It Starts Here.” This theme represents the
many facets of modern civilization that grow out of the efforts put forth by public works professionals.
Infrastructure, growth, innovation, mobility, security and healthy communities start with public works.
The bottom line is that citizens’ quality of life starts with public works.

our citizens’ everyday lives; and

and construction is vitally dependent upon the efforts and skill of public works officials;
NOW THEREFORE, as Mayor of the City of Rosemount, I hereby do proclaim the week
