ISSUE
For the last year there has been a “project updates” item on the agenda. The item contains updates from
Retail Strategies along with information from City Staff. Any questions can be addressed during this
section of the agenda.
The latest update sent to the Port is pasted below:
RETAIL
Applebees: The Broker indicated that the property was closing this week.
Multi-tenant Retail: Sign permits have been requested for all the tenants. They are Noodles, Jersey Mikes and
Sport Clips. .
Warren’s property: I have spoken to the Council about Warren moving forward with phase one of his mixed
use concept. The phase one work would include senior housing and the hotel. He indicated they would work
on plans for submittal in June or July.
Merchants Bank site: Additional details are still being discussed regarding the site.
Akron Ave: City staff has a meeting scheduled to discuss locating the Rec Center in this area. commercial sites.
MGM retail space: The realtor did not respond to inquiries.
Downtown: Staff intends to provide a verbal update at the Port Authority meeting on Tuesday the 18th.

Canada Circle: Building plans have been submitted and Mr Bry was requesting certain documents to assist with
obtaining financing.
Hardware Store: Staff contacted Pellicci’s about having a ribbon cutting. The store is planning on having a
grand opening celebration August 2-4 and is interested in holding a ribbon cutting the week before.
INDUSTRIAL
Umore Industrial site. There continues to be some interest in the site. There is no new information on the
Opus site.
Rosemount Business Park: Staff was notified by DEED that our proposal for the Business Park is no longer being
considered.
