by the Parks and Recreation Department included the Run For the Gold, the Blarney Stone Hunt, Wet n'
Wild day, and the Youth Fishing Derby. Parks and Recreation and the Rosettes programs also participated
in the Leprechaun Days Parade. Mid -Summer Faire in Central Park once again included carnival rides, live
music, a beer garden, a wide variety of food options and many informational booths. Recycling and waste
reduction was an important aspect of Leprechaun Days again this year and volunteers assisted with
recycling along the parade route, at Mid -Summer Faire, and with a waste sort after the event. This year
62.3% of the waste generated at Leprechaun Days was recovered as recycling or sorted for organic
composting.
