REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
SEPTEMBER 3, 2019
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held
on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2875 145th
Street West, Rosemount.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Councilmembers Freske, Weisensel, Block and Essler
attending.
Staff present included the following;
- City Administrator Martin - Chief of Police Dahlstrom
- Director of Public Works/City Engineer Erickson - Director of Parks and Recreation Schultz
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion by Weisensel Second by Block
Motion to Adopt the Agenda as presented.
Ayes: 5.
Nays: None. Motion carried.

Nays: None. Motion carried.
6.d. Resolution Authorizing Posting of No Parking Signage
Councilmember Freske requested that Police Chief Dahlstrom explain which areas are designated as
“no parking” for high school students. Police Chief Dahlstrom stated that students are not be able
to park on Chili Avenue, 143rd Street, and Cantata Avenue. Residents in the area have been
provided with two parking permits per property.
Motion by Freske Second by Essler
Motion to approve resolution authorizing the installation of No Parking signage on Cantata Ave.
Ayes: Block, Droste, Essler, Freske, Weisensel
Nays: None. Motion carried.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
10.a. Staff Updates
Parks and Recreation Director Schultz provided an update on the second annual Rosemount Food
Truck Festival on September 21, 2019 from 4pm to 9pm. The menus for the food trucks have been
posted on the City’s website.
10.b. Upcoming Community Calendar
Mayor Droste reviewed the calendar of events and upcoming meetings for the remainder of
September. The next City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 starting at
7:00 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council at the regular council meeting and
upon a motion by Droste the meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
