RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve Change Orders #1 and #2 for the UMore
Ballfield Dugout Project.
BACKGROUND
In the fall of 2017, DCTC requested that additional improvements be made to one of the fields at the
UMore Ballfield Complex that the college uses for their softball program. The college requested concrete
block dugouts and a large bleacher pad be added to field #1 at the complex. In 2018, DCTC and the City
agreed to move forward with the improvements through an agreement that would have DCTC covering
the costs for the dugouts and bleacher pad.
During the project there were two changes that needed to be made which results in change order #1 for
$1,874.25 to perform soil corrections under the third base dugout and change order #2 for $1,499.40 for
an additional panel of concrete near both dugouts. The total cost of the two change orders is $3,373.65.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending the City Council approve change order #1 and change order #2 for the UMore
Ballfield Dugout Project.
