RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve Change Order #2 for the Family Resource
Center Project.
BACKGROUND
In the summer of 2019, the City Council awarded a bid for the expansion of the Family Resource Center.
The expansion plans will add 3,320 square feet to the facility. During the construction of the project a few
changes have been needed that have resulted in staff requesting the City Council to consider approving
change order #2.
The changes that are incorporated in the attached Change Order #02 are the following:
A. Building envelope upgrades: This item included additional flashing at grade to better protect
the building base from moisture and a small increase in window sizes.
B. Electrical changes: This change addressed adjustments in equipment wiring and outlet
locations to best meet the current needs of 360 Communities.
C. Grading and stormwater changes: This item further revised the stormwater system as
requested by City’s Engineering department.
D. Miscellaneous interior changes: This change involved increasing the ceiling tile attic stock
and covering a prep area wall with FRP panels.
The total of the three requests is $11,472.34.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending the City Council approve Change Order #2 for the Family Resource Center
expansion project.
