BACKGROUND
City staff have recently met with a recreation facility operator to further discuss the operations and
possible partnerships with regards to the proposed recreation center. Staff would like to provide an update
on our recent discussions regarding this topic.
Staff also continues to have discussions with the owner and a broker of the parcel at the north east corner
of County Road 42 and Akron Avenue. Staff expects to receive a proposal from the land owner within the
next two weeks. We are also still working with the land owner and broker come up with some preferable
site planning concepts.
Staff would like to discuss the items mentioned above with the City Council and receive feedback.
