Park Improvement Fund Balance as of September 30, 2019: $1,411,207.28
Inflows to the Park Improvement Fund last month were as follows:
Dedication fees — $0
Grants/Other - $0
Interest - $463.87
Donations - $0
Expenditures - $5,858.21(CDBG project design, UMore Dugouts, Picnic Tables for Horseshoe
Lake Park and engineering fees for Horseshoe Lake.)*
*These are for the month of August. Last month's packet showed expenditure for September.
Staff Training - The Rosemount Community Center / Steeple Center staff recently completed CPR /
AED Training and are all now certified. Staff also went through an update on current recycling rules to
help our facilities recycle more materials in an efficient way.
Travel Showcase - Landmark Tours held their first ever Travel Showcase at the Steeple Center on
Tuesday, October 8th. This allowed attendees to learn more about the company and the many extended
travel tours they have scheduled in the next year. We recently began a partnership with Landmark that
allows Rosemount Parks & Recreation to receive a stipend each time someone from Rosemount signs up
for a trip with them, following a model they use with many other area senior centers.
Lunch and Learn - Seniors from Rosemount and throughout Dakota County attended a free Lunch and
Learn focusing on scams and fraud as part of the TRIAD program sponsored by the Dakota County
Sheriffs Office. The event was held at the Apple Valley Senior Center on Thursday, October 10th.
Museum Trip - A group from Rosemount, Farmington and Lakeville headed south on a day trip to the
Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona and Elmer's Toy and Auto Museum in Fountain City,
Wisconsin on Thursday, October 10th.
Schwarz Pond Park Ready for Play - The nature -based playground at Schwarz Pond Park is ready for
use. The attached photo is of the fort building area in the playground.
