The event consisted of themed games, crafts, and a photo area, along with food and treats enjoyed by all ages in attendance. Tea and other drinks were served with real teacups and pots available for participants to use, and it was fun to see both grandparents and kids all dressed up. We received very positive feedback from all in attendance and plan to make this an annual event. With the success of the Grandma & Me event, we are also hoping to add a Grandpa & Me workshop themed event in the future. Future Regional Trail — Trailhead Building — At our October monthly meeting staff were asked to bring back some preliminary information on the proposed trail head building that the City plans to partner on with the Dakota County at the Flint Hills Athletic Complex. Staff expects the building to serve a dual purpose. First it will be a restroom/concessions facility for the green fields at Flint Hills and the second purpose would be a trailhead for the Rosemount Greenway. The greenway connects Lebanon Hills Regional Park with Spring Lake Park Regional Park. The concept shown below is a recent building that was constructed in a park in South St. Paul. Staff expects that our building could look like their building.
