ATTACHMENTS: None APPROVED BY: LJM RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve the Labor Agreement for the AFSCME, Local No. 3857 Collective Bargaining Unit for the Years 2020 through 2021 and to Authorize the Necessary Signatures. BACKGROUND The City of Rosemount and AFSCME, Local No. 3857 have negotiated in good-faith and have come to a tentative agreement. Negotiations with the AFSCME union have been completed for a 2020 through 2021 contract. The Collective Bargaining Unit and City have reached a tentative agreement on the following items: Wages in the 2 Year Contract (2020 & 2021) 3% increase on January 1, 2020 3% increase on January 1, 2021 VEBA/HSA Contribution. The Employer shall contribute $585.00 $635.00 into the employee’s VEBA/HSA account in January of each year of the contract. Employees hired after January 31 will receive a prorated amount. This contribution shall cease at the time that the City no longer participates in the VEBA #830 Plan or HSA plan. Update Titles. Update Finance Clerks and Secretaries across all city staff to Department/Office Specialists. RECOMMENDATION The AFSCME members voted on December 4th and approved these contract changes. Therefore, it is requested that Council approve the labor agreement for the AFSCME, Local No. 3857 Collective Bargaining Unit for the years 2020 through 2021 and to authorize the necessary signatures.
