RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Appoint the Following Individuals to the Youth
Commission:

BACKGROUND
The City Council received 14 applications from Rosemount residents willing to serve as members on the
Youth Commission. Nine of the current Youth Commissioners have reapplied to serve on the next
commission, and the Commissioners are eligible to be reappointed. According to the Commission bylaws,
the term shall run between the May Annual meetings of each year. If approved and when appropriate to
do so in light of the current COVID issues, staff will set up a meet and greet for the appointed Youth
Commissioners and City Councilmembers.
Since the Youth Commission was formed in 2009, the City of Rosemount has been very fortunate to have
so many students interested in serving on the commission. Staff and Council are excited about the caliber
of talent and enthusiasm of the applicants and look forward to working with this group of young leaders.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the above-stated motion to appoint the commissioners.
