WORK SESSION PROCEEDINGS
APRIL 7, 2020
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special work session of the Rosemount City Council was
held on Tuesday, April 7, at 6:00 pm virtually via Zoom.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Councilmember Block, Essler and Freske. Staff
present included City Administrator Logan Martin, Chief of Police Dahlstrom and City Clerk
Fasbender
DISCUSSION
2.a. COVID-19 Update
Chief of Police Dahlstrom briefed council on the latest statistics of COVID-19.
City Administrator Martin discussed the current status of staff and the 80 hours of COVID leave
pay that was granted by the Federal government that will be an option for staff beginning April 13
for those who are unable to get their full hours in via teleworking. The next steps will be under the
assumption that Governor Tim Walz will extend MN’s Stay at Home order and should that occur
City Hall will remain closed to the public. Mr. Martin noted staff will present the budget impact in a
special work session soon.
UPDATES
3.a. Council & Staff Updates
City Administrator Martin discussed the letter received from the neighborhood on Deepwoods
Court requesting ribbon curbing. City Engineer Erickson joined the call and updated council on the
plan and proposal to include this option. Mr. Erickson will provide the numbers to council and this
item will be discussed at a future council meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste,
second by Essler, the meeting was adjourned at 6:58pm.
