The City Council and I would like to thank all of the hardworking and dedicated public servants for serving our community and helping to shape a better future for Rosemount. This week is designated by Congress and we honor the public servants who serve our nation as federal, state, county and local government employees. The hard work done here at the City does not go unnoticed and we are proud to serve and partner with the employees who work here. To all of the public employees – you are appreciated, you make a difference every day and we honor the work you do. We are grateful for your service, your remarkable contributions and achievements, and your commitment to the community. Thank you for your dedication and helping us provide superior service to our residents! The City of Rosemount is better with you on our team! PROCLAMATION Whereas, Americans are served every single day by public servants at the federal, state, county and city levels. These unsung heroes do the work that keeps our nation working; Whereas, Public employees take not only jobs, but oaths; Whereas, Many public servants, including military personnel, police officers, firefighters, health care professionals and others, risk their lives each day in service to the people of the United States and around the world; Whereas, Day in and day out they provide the diverse services demanded by the American people of their government with efficiency and integrity; and Whereas, Without these public servants at every level, continuity would be impossible in a democracy that regularly changes its leaders and elected officials; Now, Therefore, I, William Droste, Mayor of Rosemount Minnesota, do hereby proclaim May 3 through 9, 2020 as Public Service Recognition Week, in the City of Rosemount. All citizens are encouraged to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of government employees at all levels — federal, state, county and city.
