Minutes of the March 4, 2020 Special Work Session ProceedingsROSEMOUNT CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL WORK SESSION PROCEEDINGS MARCH 4, 2020 CALL TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special work session of the Rosemount City Council was held on Wednesday, March 4, at 4:30 pm in the Conference Room at City Hall, 2875 145th Street West, Rosemount. Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Councilmember Block, Essler and Freske. Staff present included City Administrator Logan Martin. 2. Commission Interviews City Council interviewed applicants for approximately fifteen minutes each. Following the interviews, council discussed candidates. The remaining seven candidates will be interviewed on March 17 beginning at 5:00 p.m. Commissioners will formally be appointed at the regular council meeting April 7, 2020. ADJOURNMENT TO REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste, second by Block, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 6:53 p.m.. CALL BACK TO ORDER Mayor Droste called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. with Councilmember Block, Essler and Freske. Staff present included City Administrator Logan Martin. DISCUSSION 5.a. Stormwater Rebate Program Staff discussed the draft policy regarding the stormwater rebate program for residents, businesses, and organizations that voluntarily install projects on their property that improve stormwater quality or reduce runoff volume. City staff is anticipating a full rollout of the program in spring of 2020. City Council expressed their support of the program. 5.b. Park & Recreation Upcoming Projects City staff provided an update to the City Council on a variety of upcoming Park & Recreation projects, including the expansion project at the Skate Park, the pursuit of an Indoor Recreation Center, and the progress on the Flint Hills Fields project. COUNCIL UPDATES Mayor Droste reminded the Council of the upcoming Goals Session on March 12, 2020. Topics for additional consideration and discussion at that meeting were briefly discussed, and staff will be prepared to facilitate the Goals Session at that time. ADJOURNMENT There being no other items before the Council, Mayor Droste made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Freske, unanimously approved at 8:42pm.
