SUMMARY
Earlier this year, Communications Coordinator Alan Cox retired after 16 years of service. During the
extensive recruitment process to replace Alan, over 140 applications were received and 17 people were
ultimately interviewed. Staff was able to narrow down the candidates to three very qualified top-notch
finalists. Ms. Lee Stoffel was identified as the leading candidate and a job offer was made. Lee has
accepted the position and will begin employment with the City of Rosemount on June 1, 2020.
Lee has been the Communications Coordinator with the City of Hastings for the past 7 years. Prior to
that, she was the Communication Coordinator with Prairie Island Indian Community for 2 years. Lee
has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Rhetorical Sciences from the University of Wisconsin -
Madison. She participated in the YMCA Equity Leadership Institute last year and has been an integral
member of the diversity, equity and inclusion initiative in Hastings. She is also the leader of the public
arts task force. Lee and her husband have three boys. They live in Hastings and enjoy downhill skiing,
mountain biking, and traveling.
This evening, we are pleased to introduce to you our new Communications Coordinator, Lee Stoffel.
Lee is excited to join our team and looks forward to meeting you all.
