RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Continue the Public Hearing until the Planning
Commission Meeting on June 23, 2020.
SUMMARY
The City received a request for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment, Rezoning, Planned Unit
Development, and Simple Plat concerning a multi-faceted project proposed in the northwest and northeast
quadrant of the Business Parkway and 145th Street (County Highway 42) intersection. The proposed
project includes the construction of a 79-unit hotel, memory care facility, and a senior living/mixed use
commercial development area. Staff is recommending this item be continued until the June 23, 2020,
Planning Commission meeting in order to provide the applicant with time to submit additional
information and materials associated with the request and to respond to some of the more significant
initial review comments from staff.
